Our saber-legged bantam chickens; An introduction of our chickens
In this post we would give you an introduction of our saber-legged bantam chickens. We have 1 rooster and 4 hens living in our backyard. We have had several types of chickens, but still prefer this breed.
This summer, 6 chicks were added. The gender is not yet known, but we will keep you informed..
We would like to introduce our rooster LeCoq to you. We have had him since he was a chick and he talks a lot in the chicken coop. We were a bit disappointed because there seemed to be no chicks, but in the meantime he has done his duty well. Below is a photo of LeCoq.

As well as LeCoq, we have had the 4 hens since they were chicks. This makes them very used to our family. The 4 hens are called Bertha, Mathilda, Zelda and Polly.
They all have their own character and help each other with brooding. We have about 20 eggs every week. Small, but tasty! Below are the photos of the hens.

We recently got 6 chicks. They are doing very well. They are starting to come out of their fluffy phase and are already getting beautiful feathers, like the parents. More about this in the blog the chicks.
